Employee Spotlight

The company Kyle works for, Premier 1 Supplies, does a monthly newsletter and for the Feb/March edition Ky was chosen to be the Employee Spotlight! The news letter is very interesting, and such a neat idea! Here is the section of the newsletter with Ky's article!

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Kyle Janecek

Premier's featured employee this month is Kyle Janecek. Kyle and his wife Jessica (recently married in November) live in rural Washington. They have 2 dogs, a mixed breed named Lady and Turbo, a red tick coon hound. When not at Premier, Kyle enjoys farming, raising goats, tinkering in his shop, snow mobiling and diesel trucks.

Kyle has been with Premier for 1 year now and is a 'Jack of all trades'. He works predominately in shipping but also helps in the sharpening and repair departments as well as outside with the livestock. His favorite part of the job is that he's always doing something different which keeps him on his toes. He enjoys the variety of duties as well as the fact that Premier is close to home.

This is a really neat article to read as well, so I thought I'd share the link to the website!

Babies

We have 15 goats of which 10 were pregnant going into this year. We have 8 of those mamas in where its warm right now. Of those 8, 4 have kidded and 4 are still pregnant. We have 3 sets of twins and 1 single in that barn. Then we also have one mama and single baby back at the barn behind our house, making for a total of 8 babies so far!!! We got up through the night and went out and checked on them, and I have been on nurses duty throughout the day today! I took some pictures this morning while we were on one our early morning chores!
All snuggled up snoozing.

Some cute little sweaters Ky bought for them..they stay nice and toasty under there, but Jane is going to make us some with a little more snazy material!

Me with my favorite little girl, she has such a neat fur design, all chocolate brown with a white stripe down her head.

Ky helping that little fella get the hang of this nursing thing.

This little guy knows what hes doing, this is one of the most recent babies born and hes doing the best!

Their fur is so neat at this age...kind of curly and crinkly.

Snuggling with mom.

This one has to be next to kid, shes huge...maybe tripletts?

I also found these on my camera while importing these goat pics and had to share. Here is my sweet, sweet girl Kylie. I played mommy a few saturdays ago while Ky helped her mom and dad move her grandma and grandpa. Shes my little buddy!

Well back out to chore the goats again here soon. Were hoping for a warm up this whole choring in the middle of the night with these negative lows is not too fun. This morning Ky had to pry me out of bed it was sooo warm. Take care everyone XOXO.

Playing Mommy

Today I feel like a mother in so many ways. I woke up this morning to Kyle pounding on the door to get me to come out and help him with our goats who are all seeming to have babies this week :) One of the nannies had twins yesterday morning out in the barn (Where it is very very cold right now. And as you would have it, whenever I am needed to stay at home with the goats I have to be somewhere else. When I got home in the afternoon I had a text from Ky not to park in the garage, so instantly I knew goats were in the garage...and of course my first thought is that these things are free range in the garage, which is where I keep my shoes (I text Ky "If they eat my shoes, you're buying me new ones!" But thankfully my husband is a little more intelligent than that and built these really neat little pins for the babies and their mommies. So we nursed those last night and got them back to health, only to have another nanny have babies early this morning. She gave birth to tripletts!!! Sadly one died at birth and two girls were left. I sat in the garage under the heater for about 2 hours holding her and trying to get her to nurse. My mother-in-law and father-in-law also helped me get the feeding tube down while Ky was at work, thanks a bunch you guys are awesome!!! But sadly Jane called me while I was gone and the one died :( But good news as they were checking that one, Ron went out to the barn and we had another mama delivering, and within the hour we had another one delivering!!! Kyle and I will be doing some check ups on the goats through the night and my awesome mother-in-law volunteered herself to do the 3 am check up, so we can make sure all of these babies are okay. I plan to take some pictures tonight when we go out, because these babies are absolutely adoreable, and Ill be sharing those soon!
Today I spent the day playing mommy for my cousin Tara's little boy Caden. With all of the time I've spend with Kylie and now the time with Caden I will be set for motherhood when Kyle and I decide to have little ones! Thought Id share a few pics of today.
Caden Lee :)

Caden thought he needed to share his treats with Abby :)

My cousin Jessica taught me to text!

Talking to my Papa!

Ky and I just came in to grab a quick bite for supper and are headed back out for a "nursing" visit...then back home for BED, which will feel wonderful after being out in the cold all day! I have had alot of fun playing mommy all day, and think when were ready for kiddos I will be pretty good at it, but after all of the birthing and whining I have seen today I dont think Ill be wanting to do any of that for a while! Night all :)

SNOW DAY!

I remember those days in highschool when we would have a snow day and I would get sooo excited and stay home with all of my friends watching movies all day long. So not the case with snow days in adult life :(
With the gigantic snow storm that came Tuesday night I have now been snowed in at home for 3 days, and I cannot wait to get out of this house tomorrow! I had to work Tuesday when all of this snow started heading this way, and thank you so much to my wonderful father-in-law for driving all the way to town to bring me home from work in the beginnings of the blizzard. Then Tuesday night, which was Kyle's 24th Birthday, we stayed home and had a nice night just watching the storm and trying to keep warm. And yesterday Kyle got the best birthday present he could have asked for...an entire day of snowmobiling! He probably rode that sled more yesterday than he did the entire month of January. He rode the sled to work again today, which didnt suprise me either. Here are a few pics of our SNOW DAY.
This is a the huge mountain of snow after all of the smow from our driveway was moved!

Here is the drift outside our livingroom window as tall as our front porch.

Here is my father-in-law blowing the snow off of the road. Neat picture!

I still have pictures of our honeymoon to post and will get on that soon, promise! Ive been woring on Thank You's all afternoon and am about to start supper! Stay warm!
