Love is in the air

Wowza today is beautiful! Sunshine, warmth, and my flowers are blooming! However with this high pollen count my head has throbbing for the past couple days. I haven't updated for awhile, and nothing has really changed for us, besides the fact that it is spring time, which means time for Kyle to be up early and out in the fields late. The weather had been perfect for the guys to be busy There is rain in the forcast for this weekend, which kind of excites me, never thought I would look foward to rainy days, but with Ky's job I love rainy days. We bought a grill last week and it hasn't moved from the box since we brought it home. I told Ky I am grilling on Sunday rain or shine, so if it's not done in a couple days Im hiring someone to come out and get it put togethor, haha! I have been busy lately, between work and school and driving to DesMoines for healthcare conferences, housework has been the last of my priorities, and I am loving getting to get cought up today.

Most of you probably know we recently became the proud owners of about 15 goats. We really do love the goats and have a lot of fun raising them togethor. So far we've had 4 babies, with only 3 of them making it, sadly. I name them as soon as they're born and the one who passed was a female, named Mullet after my sister due to it's quite small size. I finally convinced her to come out and see the one I had named after her, only to find it had died during the night :( We recently moved the goats out to a fenced in pasture we built a few weeks ago, and due to the lack of rain lately we had to add on to our fence and move them to some new grass. Well, that seemed like a smart idea at the time, however we forgot to lock up one of the gates, and yesterday afternoon while I was home doing homework, we got a call from a farmer across the road who said he could see the llama in the road. I went outside and all 15 goats and Lanny the llama were eating the grass in my front yard!!! So I chased them around for about 20 minutes in the poring rain and finally got them lured back into the old fence. Any prayers for my sanity while dealing with these goats would be greatly appreciated.

On a better note, some good friends of ours Kyle Collins and Taryn Pemberton joined us yesterday in the homeowner's club! They bought their first house and I couldnt wait to see it! We went over after supper last night, and it is sooo cute!!! It's an older house like ours with loads of potential. Taryn has so many cute ideas for their house and is starting to paint already! I am excited to get to help her paint this weekend, as she was such a great helper when we painted in our house!

I should get the save-the-dates and invitations in the mail tomorrow, and am picking up our engagement picture order this weekend as well. Things are really starting to fall into place and I couldnt be happier! Next weekend is my baby sister's prom so I will probably have an update of her beautiful day sometime soon, until then enjoy the weather and have a happy spring :)
