Mr. & Mrs. Janecek

Long time no blog!!! We have been so busy!!! Wedding week was CRAZY and went by way too fast for my liking...It was the best week of my life! We started off wedding week with a boom. Monday morning Ky woke me up to look outside to a rainbow out our window, and everything from that moment on was absolutely perfect! We had such a blast at the wedding and want to thank everyone who was there to help us celebrate and help us party all night long!! It was a beautiful day and a truely beautiful wedding. Special thanks to our parents for making it all possible for us and making it the absolute best day for us! Well enough with the chit chat here are some pics!

One Very Proud Big Sister

Last weekend Ky and I ventured to Ames to watch my sister Ashley as she competed in the Miss Iowa Teen USA Pageant. She had put alot of time and effort into this pageant and it finally came to life. We had such a fun time, and I will admit I was an emotional wreck as I have never been so proud of her. For the past 16 years of her life she has spent her time looking up to me as her older sister. She has always been the little sister who wants to be just like her big sis. And last weekend the roles were definately reversed!!! I had such a blast! Here are a few pics of my beautiful sister!

One Very Proud Grandma

This weekend flew by! Friday was spent with family, as my great grandma passed away Thursday morning. I know its okay as she is in a better place now, but will definately be missed. Saturday I went shopping for yet again more wedding stuff, I swear everytime we go I think Im done, and yet I keep adding more things to my shopping list. Today we went to church and spent the afternoon cleaning our garage for the winter. A BIG THANKS to future in laws and brother in law for helping us move things and clean that messy thing out!!! Tomorrow will be another day with family, as we have my grandmas funeral and plan to spend some time running errands for wedding things afterwards. I can hardly believe tomorrow is November 1st and the wedding will be here in 20 days, itll be here before we know!!!

Crazy Life

We have been living a crazy, crazy life lately! We havent had a free weekend in over 2 months! August started with my first dress fitting, then I had showers back to back the next two weekends, then we helped Mike & Katy Norman celebrate their beautiful wedding, then we had Ky's 5 year class reunion (Crazy I know!!!) And finally we ended our busy stretch this past weekend helping Jordan & Stephanie Singbeil celebrate their beautiful wedding. I love weddings, Im an absolute sap when it comes to weddings, and through all the tears I did manage to take a few good notes!

Fall officially starts soon, Ky's already had some late nights in the fields, which Im sure is just the start of many! But the sooner the better so we can be done in time for the wedding!

Speaking of soon...in less than 36 hours I will officially be legal!!! 21 FINALLY! I dont want too much with my bachelorette party coming up, so we will stay low key, but we do have a few things planned and Ill try and post pics!

Here are some pics of my bridal shower in August!

The lovely winner of the wedding dress game!

And all the other ladies!

The Word "Husband"

I think about a lot of things on my way to work in the mornings, I find that the drive goes faster if I get into some deep thought. Lately it’s been wedding things, programs, shoes, invites, decorations, etc. But this morning I took along some CDs my sister made me when Ky and I first got engaged. The CD is full of love songs we could play at the wedding, and as I was listening to the song Ky and I picked for our first song, I found myself welled up in tears. I can’t believe that in less than 3 months I am going to have a husband. This man I have known for so long, the one I tell all my secrets to is going to be my husband. As I drove listening to the words and how special this bond that we are about to partake in is, I could barely control my emotions. I can’t begin to express in words how lucky I am to have such a great person in my life. Kyle and I have such a great relationship and we know marriage is a big step for us, and a step we are ready to make, but the thought of him introducing me as his wife gives me the goose bumps. I don’t know where I would be without him in my life, and today I think I got a taste of how special our marriage is going to be, because without my best friend by my side I don’t know where my life will go. Kyle makes me feel so grounded and balanced. Our lives together will definitely be something special, and we can’t wait to have everyone there as we begin them together!
I know that was pretty deep, but the way I am feeling right now I had to share. On a lighter note I got my grades back from Summer Semester. I don’t know if any of you know but this was a very, very busy summer for me. I had a 20 per week internship; I worked 15-20 hours a week at my part-time job, took 4 classes, and managed to get a lot done in the world of wedding planning. With that said I am very proud to say I passed with flying colors!!! All A’s for my very first time in college!!!! Yes in high school this would have been no big deal, but for college this is huge, especially with the load of stress I have been under! Now I have to buckle down and get ready for fall semester. I am staying 2 weeks ahead of things this semester so I can have the week of the wedding off and the 10 days of our honeymoon off, so this will be a challenging semester for me as well, but I’m sure I will do just fine! I should be updating on my bridal showers soon! We took lots of pictures :)

This weekend is going to be an exciting one for me! Ky and I are so excited to help one of my very best friends celebrate her birthday, Happy Birthday Kel! And Sunday I have my first bridal shower! Thanks again to my aunt Je'taime and my cousins McKayla and Samantha for all of your work to do this shower for me! Ill try and post after the shower so stay tuned!

Ring Bearer

We chose our ring bearer!
Drake Price: Drake is a cousin of the Jessica. Kyle and Jessica are so happy to have Drake be a part of their day and cant wait to see him in his little tux!

We have been soooooo busy lately! I have been working so much lately, and sadly havent had too much time to work on wedding things :( But my internship is going to be winding down soon so my wedding planning should be back in gear full throttle! This past weekend I had my first fitting for my wedding dress, I am sooo excited to see it all finished! It is beautiful! And the next couple weekends I have my first bridal showers, so look for pictures I will be posting!

We're Registered!!!

Not a very long blog...but just wanted to post that we got registered this past weekend! Target and Kohls are the hot spots!!! Over the next few weeks between work and my internship and homework I probably wont have too much time to blog but some fun things we have coming up are a couple weddings over the next month or so, my first dress fitting, and 2 of my bridal showers in August!!! Ill try and post a little something about them, hope everyone is staying cool!

Quadruple Post

To make up for my lack of posting lately this one is a quadruple post. Four major events in our wedding planning process all compact into one blog post.

TUXES, TUXES, TUXES!!!
We picked out our tuxes this last weekend, and I couldn’t be more excited…no details but you will love them!!!!

SAVE-THE-DATE
Mark your calendars, Save-the dates are out and November 20th is the date! We created our save the dates with plenty of thought and love for each of our guests, and hope everyone can come help us celebrate as we embark on our journeys finale of becoming husband and wife.

SAY YES TO THE DRESS
This is definitely the most hush-hush detail of the wedding, but yesterday I said yes to my beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful, wedding dress!! I love it so much, and want to show the world, but our count down in 157 days and everyone will be able to see it. I had so much fun picking it out. I bought it at David’s Bridal and they were awesome, I would recommend anyone going there, it was truly every brides dream experience. When I finally decided on my dress, the one I want to wear to become a bride and a wife they rang a bell and everyone was so excited, I couldn’t hold back my tears, truly an experience that there aren’t enough words to describe. Now I can’t wait until my fittings begin and I can bring it home!

MEET OUR WEDDING PARTY
We’ve had so much fun asking our wedding party. We put a lot of time and thought into our wedding party, and picked people who have always been there for us and people who we know will help make our day extra special together.

The Men

Danny Janecek (Best Man)Danny is Kyles brother and lifelong buddy, we are so honored to have him stand by our sides through our big day.
Steven Libe (Groomsman)Steven and Kyle have been best-friends since high school, they have worked together, laughed together, and most important stayed friends through everything that has come their way.
Kyle Collins (Groomsman)Kyle and Kyle have often times been called brothers, because over the past few years wherever one Kyle is there comes the other, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
Brayton Turner (Groomsman)Brayton and Kyle have been friends since way back in the day when they could only push tractors across the floor, and now they can stand and talk about them for hours, even when no one else can make sense of it.
Tyler Russell (Groomsman)Tyler and Kyle have been friends since elementary, back before “Rusty” and “Bananzo” came into play, and they always know how to make each other laugh.
Jason Edmund (Usher)Jason and Kyle go back to elementary days, and there is never a quiet moment when they are together, pig talk, pig talk, pig talk.
Derek Miller (Usher)Derek is Jessica’s cousin and Kyle’s newest buddy. Kyle enjoys having Derek out to help him on the farm.

The Ladies

Ashley Timmins (Maid of Honor)Ashley and Jessica are sisters, and best friends for life. Their bond is something all sisters wish for, and we are so proud to have her by our sides throughout this entire process of getting to the big day.
Jami Miller (Bridesmaid)Jami and Jessica have been raised practically as sisters, and as sisters they act. They’ve had their ups and downs but always had each other’s backs along the way.
Taryn Pemberton (Bridesmaid)Taryn and Jessica have become the best of buds over the past couple years, and their thrifty shopping skills help them bond on their many shopping trips.
Maquel Anding (Bridesmaid)Maquel and Jessica have been friends since high school, and they always know what to say to make things all better for each other, a tight bond that doesn’t need words.
Kati Armstrong (Bridesmaid)Kati and Jessica became close while both attending Iowa and living at the lodge and they just love to have fun together, no matter what.
Crystal Ponce (Bride’s Special Attendant)Crystal and Jessica have been friends since 4th grade when they spent every weekend together, and even though they don’t get to see each other as much as back then, their friendship has never been stronger.
Megan Grote (Bride’s Special Attendant)Megans brutal honesty makes her and Jessica such a great mach for each other, true friends who can tell each other their true thoughts.

Flower Girl

Kylie Kuffman (Flower Girl)Kylie is everything Kyle and Jessica hope to have in a child when they have kids, she is so much fun and we they love watching her grow up.

Our Other Special Helpers

Andy & Je’taime Miller (Host & Hostess)Andy and Je’taime are Jessica’s aunt and uncle and true role models as to what a good marriage looks like for Kyle and Jessica.
McKayla Miller (Guest Book Table Attendant)McKayla is Jessica’s cousin and Kyle and Jessica have enjoyed watching her turn into the beautiful girl she has become.
Samantha Miller (Guest Book Table Attendant)Samantha is Jessica’s cousin and her funny sense of humor always keeps people laughing.
Emily Janecek (Guest Book Table Attendant)Emily is Kyles cousin and with all of her activities we are happy she can be a part of our day.
Suma Janecek (Guest Book Table Attendant)Suma is Kyles cousin and Kyle and Jessica have enjoyed watching her grown up into the nice young lady she has become.
Brooke Swan (Gift Table Attendant)Brooke and Jessica have been friends since, well forever, and they always have so much fun together.
Paige Paul (Cake Table Attendant)Paige and Jessica are friends from the high school days and enjoy long lengthy chats, even if they’re about absolutely nothing.

In other news we have been busy, busy, busy lately with work and everything else going on in our lives. All the rain has kept us from doing too much in our yard, but we have managed to get some trees planted. When we bought the place, we knew the first thing we wanted to do to the outside was plant some trees. Over the past two weeks we have planted 16 trees: 3 purple plums, 2 pin oak, and 11 evergreens. We know they will take a while to grow but can’t wait to watch them get big!

200 days until Mr. & Mrs. Janecek

It’s official we are now in the final stretch!!! 200 days from now we will finally be putting our dreams into reality! We have been very busy lately with the wedding plans, so much to do and so many little details to figure out. Kyle hasn’t really got to be in the fields much since we have got so much rain lately, and you don’t hear me complaining! But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been busy, between goats and hogs and all of his other projects he hasn’t sat still much. Jessica hasn’t had too much free time either. Finals week is boiling down here soon and her nose has been in the books. She is wrapping up her clinical in Des Moines this week, and couldn’t be happier to be done with those long drives.

This past weekend we went shopping with Jessica’s dad to get supplies for his grand opening events. Orscheln Grand Opening is May 14-16 at his new store, everyone stop by!!! Jessica will be doing face painting and Kyle will be driving antique tractors. We couldn’t be happier for Dean, he has put a lot of hard work into this grand opening and we know it will be great!

Another exciting event we recently got to share was Ashley’s prom. She was beautiful, and for once the gym wasn’t scorching hot during grand march. Ashley’s dress was by Mori Lee and she looked absolutely perfect. Jessica did her hair and makeup and helped her with all the final touches. Her date to prom is her boyfriend Syler Ryan. Jami and her boyfriend Ryan were also in Ashley’s prom group and she looked beautiful as well. Her dress was perfect, such a cute color and the back was amazing.

Here are ashley and Syler.

Here are Jami and Ryan.

We will be updating everyone on our wedding party soon so keep an eye out, until then enjoy the warm weather weve been having and have a happy May.

Love is in the air

Wowza today is beautiful! Sunshine, warmth, and my flowers are blooming! However with this high pollen count my head has throbbing for the past couple days. I haven't updated for awhile, and nothing has really changed for us, besides the fact that it is spring time, which means time for Kyle to be up early and out in the fields late. The weather had been perfect for the guys to be busy There is rain in the forcast for this weekend, which kind of excites me, never thought I would look foward to rainy days, but with Ky's job I love rainy days. We bought a grill last week and it hasn't moved from the box since we brought it home. I told Ky I am grilling on Sunday rain or shine, so if it's not done in a couple days Im hiring someone to come out and get it put togethor, haha! I have been busy lately, between work and school and driving to DesMoines for healthcare conferences, housework has been the last of my priorities, and I am loving getting to get cought up today.

Most of you probably know we recently became the proud owners of about 15 goats. We really do love the goats and have a lot of fun raising them togethor. So far we've had 4 babies, with only 3 of them making it, sadly. I name them as soon as they're born and the one who passed was a female, named Mullet after my sister due to it's quite small size. I finally convinced her to come out and see the one I had named after her, only to find it had died during the night :( We recently moved the goats out to a fenced in pasture we built a few weeks ago, and due to the lack of rain lately we had to add on to our fence and move them to some new grass. Well, that seemed like a smart idea at the time, however we forgot to lock up one of the gates, and yesterday afternoon while I was home doing homework, we got a call from a farmer across the road who said he could see the llama in the road. I went outside and all 15 goats and Lanny the llama were eating the grass in my front yard!!! So I chased them around for about 20 minutes in the poring rain and finally got them lured back into the old fence. Any prayers for my sanity while dealing with these goats would be greatly appreciated.

On a better note, some good friends of ours Kyle Collins and Taryn Pemberton joined us yesterday in the homeowner's club! They bought their first house and I couldnt wait to see it! We went over after supper last night, and it is sooo cute!!! It's an older house like ours with loads of potential. Taryn has so many cute ideas for their house and is starting to paint already! I am excited to get to help her paint this weekend, as she was such a great helper when we painted in our house!

I should get the save-the-dates and invitations in the mail tomorrow, and am picking up our engagement picture order this weekend as well. Things are really starting to fall into place and I couldnt be happier! Next weekend is my baby sister's prom so I will probably have an update of her beautiful day sometime soon, until then enjoy the weather and have a happy spring :)

Jessica's Bridal Weekend

This weekend was finally my bridal weekend. All of my wonderful bridesmaids and I spent the day on Saturday shopping, laughing, and buying bridesmaids dresses. I want to shout out a big thank you to all of the wonderful girls of my wedding party, who made the day so fun and such a great success. And i especially want to shout out to my wonder personal attendant Crystal who made the day alot easier and helped out in every way she could, love you Crystal! After a long day of shopping and a great dinner at Olive Garden, we went back to my house and made our boquets for the wedding! Which reminds me, a big thank you to Missy Kauffman for all of your help on the flower decisions I had to make Friday :) Our boquets turned out wonderful and we had so much fun making them, or else making fun of those who had a hard time making them! Thanks again to all of you, and I know the fun I had with you this weekend is only a sneak peak of what is in store for me during my wedding weekend!
